Science & collaboration highlights

Advancing research and collaboration in CCHFV preparedness.

CCHFVACIM is driving forward cutting-edge research through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to pandemic preparedness.

During the first phase of the project, important scientific advances have been achieved, including the characterization of key viral structures and immune responses, as well as the identification of promising vaccine targets. The project has also initiated the generation of monoclonal antibodies derived from patient samples, opening new perspectives for therapeutic development.

Collaboration remains at the heart of the consortium’s success. Regular meetings, including the Kick-Off Meeting in Paris and the Annual Meeting in Thessaloniki, have strengthened coordination between partners and ensured efficient progress across all work packages.

Looking ahead, the project will scale up its scientific dissemination, training activities, and engagement with health authorities, contributing to stronger global preparedness against CCHF and other emerging infectious diseases.
